Mafuta’s Hunting Safaris will endeavor to provide exclusive use of Safari camps and hunting areas for each safari. It is essential to obtain currency from any international airport bank upon arrival for personal expenses.

Flight Arrangements:

We recommend the use of a travel agent that is well established with the traveling to Africa, especially with hunters South Africa requires a passport. Some countries require a VISA except the USA.

Permits:

Importing of Hunting weapons to South Africa requires a declaration at customs arrival.

Cities convention signatory countries need to bring a copy of their city’s permit tat can be obtained from the Federal Wildlife Office.

Shotguns and Rifles:

Long Range shooting (250m x 270yds) may on occasion be required. All hunters should ensure that they bring rifles of suitable caliber (min 270) fitted with reliable variable telescopes and that ammunition be capable of suitable distance trajectory. The legal minimum caliber for any of the Big Five is 375 magnum.

Rifles and shotgun hire available.

It is the responsibility of every hunter to be fully acquainted with his/her firearms and that the adequate practice has taken place prior to arrival. Although our professional Hunter will make every effort to present the best possible opportunity for a shot. Mafuta’s Hunting Safaris will not accept responsibility for poor shooting and hunting time wasted in search of wounded animals.

 Trophies:

Hunting with Mafuta's Safari and Taxidermy are a high-risk Veterinarian approve facility, and their skilled personnel will take care or your trophies from field preparation, right up to Export

Reservations:

Reservations may only be made by calling / email / WhatsApp and signing of contract. We require 50% of package fees or 50% of the daily rate to be paid upon booking date. Package and daily fees can be paid with your credit card, or cash. At the end of the hunt the trophy fees must be paid by credit card, or cash. All fees to be paid in US Dollars.

Cancellations and Postponements:

Mafuta Hunting Safaris at its sole discretion, retains the right to refuse a request to postpone a safari. All such requests from the client are to be in writing. 50% Handling fees of your deposit is non-refundable if the safari is cancelled 60 days before your booking date. No refund for cancellations less than 30 days before the safari begins a replacement booking can be made. No refund will be given should the client arrive after the commencement date or leave prior to the last day of the safari.

Risk & Loss:

Mafuta Hunting Safaris draws the client's attention to fact that there are certain risks involved on a trip or safari of this nature. The client, by paying a deposit, accepts the risks as his/her own. While traveling, loss of baggage or firearms is the responsibility of the client and / or the airline carrier. Mafuta Hunting Safaris will not be held responsible for damages to or loss of personal items belonging the client or his / her companions before, during or after the agreed upon safari.

The client agrees to abide by the decision of his professional hunter to kill any animal that the client has shot if, in his opinion, the animal is a threat to human life, or is suffering. In determining whether an animal which has been shot by the client is wounded or not, the decision of the professional hunter will be final and binding to the payment for the animal whether or not it is found and recovered.
